| iPhone 13 Midnight: Unboxing and Impressions - what does the iPhone 13 look like? |
Hello everyone today i am really excited to be unboxing the
iphone 13 in midnight alright so let's dive right in this is the first time
i've actually pre-ordered an iphone and i must say the process was super smooth
and allowed me of course to have the iphone here today to unbox for all of you
So the first thing i noticed is that we have that thinner
box as we also saw with the iphone 12 which means there is no more charger
included however what is different this year is there is actually no more
plastic wrap around the box and this is always great to see something i'm
really pleased to say is that all iphone 13 models now come with 128 gigabytes
of storage this is really great to see and i think will be enough for most
users 64 gigabytes was just getting too small so it's great to see this doubled
now i went ahead and took this one step further and went for the 256 gigabyte
model as i plan to store and create a lot of content with this phone let's go
ahead and lift up the box lid here and the first thing I see is the iphone 13
itself and first impressions wow the color looks great is it black i would say
almost but i can see some very subtle dark blue undertones and i really like
this design to me this really looks premium when pre-ordering the iphone 13 i
was actually picking between midnight and starlight and seeing this now i think
I made the right decision i really like this midnight color let me know in the comments

Alright so i'm gonna
put the iphone to the side just for now to take a look at what else is included
first we have the paperwork and this will include the sim ejector tool apple stickers
and warranty information in this neat little envelope and underneath that we
have the lightning cable now this is lightning to usbc i would have loved to
see the braided cable that we also saw in the new magic keyboard but at least the cable is still included now
let's go back to the iphone and enjoy what is the best part
of any unboxing peel it and that will never get old let's take a closer look at
the iphone 13. so the first thing we get is this much improved dual camera
system and you can see this is now placed diagonally and this is not just done
to differentiate the iphone 13 but is actually needed to place the larger
camera sensors with these cameras we get cinematic mode improved low light performance
particularly in the ultra wide lens as well as photographic styles for this
next new feature we're going to look at the front of the phone and take a look
at the notch now as you can see this is finally been reduced in size actually
by 20% and they did this by moving the earpiece speaker up into the frame now
what this will mean is you have more display and again less of your content
being taken up by the notch this is a small but in my opinion significant
improvement and then speaking of displays we can now actually turn the
brightness all the way up to 800 nits and up to 1200 nits with hdr on this will
make it much easier to see your phone in those very sunny days and then inside
we have the new a15 processor which will provide improved gpu as well as cpu
performance now I expect that these speed differences to only be small today
but where these will really start to show as in the years ahead as the phone
ages i expect this to last and hold up very well now an improvement that is
really important to me is an increase in battery life as this is something that
you of course notice every day on the iphone 13 will get an additional two and
a half hours of use which should really make a big improvement i'm really
excited to test all of the above features and new changes for my full upcoming
iphone 13 please do poke
